Hospitalization programs

United’s inpatient programs for adults, adolescents and adults over age 65 provide crisis stabilization, assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning to prepare patients for outpatient care or a return to their home. Patients receive around-the-clock care in a hospital setting while learning how to manage their illnesses. The attending psychiatrist directs the multidisciplinary team, which may be composed of psychologists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, program specialists, program therapists, social workers and psychiatric case managers. Program components include:

  • individual and group therapy
  • family involvement and therapy
  • educational programming
  • treatment and crisis planning
  • medication management

Partial hospitalization for adults and adolescents

Partial hospitalization programs are a less restrictive alternative to full hospitalization. These programs are for patients who have enough support at home or in their community to return home each evening. Program components are similar to our hospitalization program and include six hours of therapeutic program, five days a week.

Day treatment programs for adults

Our day treatment programs look at individual needs and help patients achieve goals that are right for them. Several program tracks are available to meet the specific needs of each individual patient.

Day treatment groups meet for three hours each day. The number of days of attendance is prescribed by your physician.
