Orthopedic Services

The orthopedics program at United Hospital is supported by skilled orthopedic surgeons and a dedicated multidisciplinary team of professionals from nursing, pharmacy, social services, respiratory care and nutrition services. Rehabilitation services are available and include physiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. United Hospitals Orthopedic services continue to lead the way with superior care that puts our patients’ well-being first. Orthopedic specialists have access to excellent programs and facilities that focus on our patients’ needs. This includes:

• inpatient and day surgery facilities
• dedicated 36-bed inpatient care unit
• advanced diagnostics through United Hospital Medical Imaging and St. Paul Radiology
• preoperative education for total joint patients
• dedicated inpatient physical therapy station on the inpatient care unit
• outpatient rehabilitation available through Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Services
• comprehensive discharge planning
