Interactive Heart Information at Your Fingertips

Your spouse is at United Hospital for treatment of arrhythmia. Although your doctor explained this condition to you, you find that you would like more to learn more about the heart and treatment options.

In July 2006, such information became readily available at the heart health information kiosk in the family waiting room of the Nasseff Heart Center.

The kiosk is an easy-to-use, interactive computer program on a touch-screen monitor that will help you and your family find out more information about the heart, a heart condition, heart disease prevention and United Hospital.

David Dunbar, MD, a cardiologist with St. Paul Heart Clinic, was instrumental in bringing the kiosk to United Hospital. The kiosk is a project of the United Hospital Foundation, the St. Paul Heart Clinic, Medtronics and a private donor. It was developed by Panta Rhei Media in Turtle Creek, Penn.
