Dave Albrecht, Owatonna Hospital president

David Albrecht is the president, as well as the director of operations and finance/assistant administrator. Prior to joining Owatonna Hospital, Albrecht was the interim chief executive officer of St. Joseph's Hospital, Huntingburg, Ind. He was previously executive vice president for Bellin Health, Green Bay, Wis. where he led the operations of Bellin Hospital including its employed primary care medical group and an affiliated HMO. At Bellin, he was the lead executive in planning the construction of a number of major hospital expansion projects and numerous new clinic sites. Other positions Albrecht held at Bellin include controller, vice president of finance/chief financial officer and chief operating officer. He began his career in public accounting serving numerous manufacturing and health care clients.

Albrecht's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting from University Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a master's degree in business administration/health administration from the University of Colorado.

Albrecht has been active in his community including past member of the Downtown Green Bay Rotary Club and the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he has been involved in various health care organizations including Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), American College of Healthcare Executives, Wisconsin Hospital Association and a recent participant in the HFMA International US/UK Exchange.

Kelly Harder, trustee

Kelly Harder is the director of Steele County Human Services. He has been with Steele County Human Services for the past three years and resides in Owatonna. Harder holds a master's degree in social work with an emphasis in business from the University of North Dakota. He also has a bachelor's degree in business and social work from Concordia College, Moorhead. As a human services director, Harder has worked closely with health care related issues from the perspective of the consumer, purchaser, provider and health care plans.

James Herzog, trustee

Jim Herzog, chairperson of the Owatonna Hospital Board of Trustees, is the public relations coordinator for the Owatonna School District and an adjunct professor for St. Thomas University. Herzog, a former principal with Owatonna Senior High School, served as the vice chairperson of the hospital's board for the past two years.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris, a master's degree from St. Cloud University and an advanced administration degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Herzog is also active in a wide variety of business and community organizations. He is a trustee with the Minnesota Hospital Association, as well as a member of the Civil Service Commission, Steele County Extension Board and St. Mary's School Building Project.

Lt. Col. Robert Intress, trustee

Lt. Col. Intress is the operational planner for the Department of Military Affairs, Minnesota Army National Guard, and is the Battalion Commander of the 1st Battalion, 194th Armor Regiment, Brainerd. He holds a master's degree in education leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a bachelor's of science nursing degree from Winona State University. He has received multiple military medals and awards including the Bronze Star; Combat Infrantryman's Badge; Gen. Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award; US Army Ranger Tab; four Meritorious Service medals; U.S. Army Air Assault, Airborne and Pathfinder Badges; and the order of St. Maurice.

Miguel Mulet, MD, chief of staff

Miguel Mulet is a board certified physician in ophthalmology with the Owatonna Clinic-Mayo Health System. He completed medical school at the University of Florida, his residency at Tulane University School of Medicine, and a fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine. His specialty interests include treatment of cataracts and glaucoma; general eye care for adults and children; plastic, reconstructive glaucoma and refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK).

Jennifer Noeldner, trustee

Jennifer Noeldner is the director of Human Resources for Cybex International, Inc. She has more than 15 years of experience in the health care benefit field and is interested in advancing quality, affordable health care with an emphasis on prevention. Noeldner holds a bachelor's degree in organizational communication and public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Noeldner is active in a wide variety of business and community organizations including commissioner on the Economic Development Authority, past chair and board member of the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and board member for South Central Society for Human Resource Management.

Sandra Norbury , vice chair

Sandra Norbury is the vice president of medical benefits and services for Federated Mutual Insurance. Norbury has more than 20 years of experience in the administrative health insurance industry. She has also worked as a registered nurse in hospitals and hospice programs. Norbury holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Superior. She is involved with her husband and his Little Brother, in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota program.

Doug Ruth, trustee

Doug Ruth is the Steele County attorney and has held this position since 1971. He is a member and past president with the Minnesota County Attorneys Association as well as the Owatonna Rotary Club. In addition he is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association and the National District Attorneys Association. Ruth has also served on the board for Homestead Hospice House; American Red Cross Steele County Chapter; Owatonna Airport Commission; Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce Board; and various church committees.

Ruth received his bachelor's degree from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn. and his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Steve Shurts, chairman

Steve Shurts is the general manager of Owatonna Public Utilities in Owatonna. He is a board member of the Owatonna Rotary Club, Owatonna College and University Center and Southern Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association. Shurts is also a member of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association.

He has a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas.

Linda Wallner, MD, trustee

Linda Wallner is a board certified family medicine physician with Owatonna Clinic-Mayo Health System. She specializes in family medicine and pediatrics. She is the lead physician for disease management systems at the Owatonna Clinic, as well as quality and safety initiatives. Linda is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Medicine and the Steele County Medical Society.

She received her bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota.
