Birth, Babies and Beyond

First-time parents learn how to get ready for the birth of their child and begin the parenting journey. Sessions are led by health and education professionals include breathing and relaxation techniques, common discomforts and relief for the last weeks of pregnancy, a tour of the Owatonna Hosptial Birth Center, normal birth procedures, characteristics of newborn care, and parenting in the first weeks and more!

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket, two pillows and your purple and white Allina Hospitals & Clinics Beginnings: Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond book to each session.

January 8, 10, 15 and 17 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
February 5, 7, 11 and 13from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
March 1 and 8 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
April 1, 3, 7 and 9 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
May 6, 8, 13 and 15 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
June 3, 5, 10 and 12 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
July 8, 10, 15 and 17 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
August 19, 21, 26, and 28 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
Sept. 6, 13 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Oct. 7, 9, 14 and 16 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.
Nov. 8 and 15 and 16 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Dec. 2, 4, 9 and 11 1 from 6:45 - 9 p.m.

Cost: $60 (Scholarships and direct insurance billings are available.)
