Any new mother will tell you, it's the quality of care that makes all the difference in the birthing experience. That's why Owatonna Hospital has nurses who specialize in delivery, post-partum and new born care, including lactation experts. We work hand in hand with Owatonna Clinic obstetricians, pediatricians and family medicine physicians. And, we offer prenatal classes along with other support and education for pregnancy, birth and beyond.
What to ExpectPreparing for the birth of your child may seem overwhelming. Understanding what to expect can help you feel more confident and relaxed. We pledge to give you our best, working hard to respect your decisions and meet your expectations. You’re invited to have your partner or others present with you during labor and birth—both vaginal and cesarean—as well as after your baby is born.. Parent Advisory CouncilAt the heart of patient- and family-centered care are dignity and respect, information sharing, participation and collaboration It’s based on the belief that patients, families and healthcare providers are partners. This means everyone has input into decisions and choices to best meet the needs of the patient. Who knows better how it feels to be a patient than the parents we serve? As a result, our Parent Advisory Council gives families a voice in decisions that affect patient care and family experiences.
