"The American Cancer Society recommends women age 40 and older get a mammogram every year, but many women avoid them," says Mary Rinehart, radiology technician and mammography lead, Allina Medical Clinic – Woodlake. "Since a mammogram is so important for detecting breast cancer early, we decided to create a warm, relaxing and fun atmosphere to encourage women to get a mammogram."
Stress-free mammograms, menopause talks and more
Allina Medical Clinic – Woodlake is offering stress-free mammograms and more, including facials, healthy breakfast treats, prize drawings, gift bags with a screening and other pampering activities.
Allina Medical Clinic–Woodlake doctors and staff will also offer short discussions about healthy nutrition after menopause and health care needs in menopause and as you age.
