Domestic violence is community focus October 12 'Voices for Peace' supports interdenominational efforts to heal family violence
09/30/2008--The public is invited to "Voices for Peace," a worship service for the healing of family violence Sunday, October 12, 7 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church on 641 89th Avenue NE in Blaine, Minnesota. The service will include prayers for domestic abuse survivors, victims, families and friends.
The service will feature music by Kris O'Brien, vocalist, guitarist and Christ Lutheran Church music and liturgy director.
The service is sponsored by Partners in Faith for Peace that includes Alexandra House, Alliance for a Violence-free Anoka County, Faith Community Nurse Program of Mercy and Unity Hospitals, Christ Lutheran Church/Blaine and several faith communities from Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Ham Lake and Spring Lake Park.
