Skin cancer and melanomaSkin cancer is the most common form of cancer. Excessive exposure to the sun, sunburns, a family history and certain types of moles and lesions all increase your risks. Individuals at a higher risk of developing melanoma are those who have fair skin and a history of excessive exposure to the sun, have many moles or have a first-degree relative who has been diagnosed with melanoma.
