Buffalo Hospital Foundation announces new leader
05/05/2008--Karla Heeter assumed the position of executive director of the Buffalo Hospital Foundation today. Heeter is currently the chair of the foundation’s board of directors and one of its founding members. She is also a Wright County commissioner and intends to complete her term that ends December 31, and she will not seek re-election.
"Making a difference is important to me, and I’m excited about the opportunity to make a difference for healthcare consumers in this area," said Heeter. "I’m hoping to take Buffalo Hospital Foundation to a whole new level."
In addition to her current role as County Commissioner, Karla has previously held leadership positions with the Community Health Foundation, Independent School District 877, Stuart Corporation and Parkview Care Center.
"Karla is a community leader with extensive and diverse experiences. She will ensure that outstanding health services remain part of what Buffalo is known for through the foundation," said Steve Hatkin, president of Buffalo Hospital.
