Healthy Heart Day at the Dome is Sept. 6
MINNEAPOLIS 08/11/2008--The Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital presents Healthy Heart Day at the Dome on Sept. 6. Everyone is invited to attend this one-of-a-kind event to see great Major League baseball at a discounted rate and learn skills that one day could save a life.
Before the Minnesota Twins take on the Detroit Tigers, there are several healthy heart pre-game activities offered from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Metrodome Picnic Area. Attendees can:
- attend a CPR Anytime training session (five, 30-minute sessions offered). This training includes a free training kit with an inflatable CPR manikin, CPR Anytime DVD and the American Heart Association's CPR for Family and Friends booklet (one per party of four). In just 30 minutes you could learn to save a life.
- visit The Doctor Is In station
- take a close-up look at an ambulance and have their blood pressure taken by paramedics.
This training is included with purchase of a discounted ticket in the lower reserved ($20, normally $30) or upper club ($12, normally $21) sections.
