MINNEAPOLIS 09/24/2009--Allina clinics, including Aspen Medical Group, Quello Clinic and Allina Medical Clinic, continue to service its patients with seasonal flu vaccine as planned, Allina Medical Clinic chief medical officer Bruce McCarthy, MD, announced today.
"Patients with scheduled appointments are being offered the seasonal flu vaccine throughout our system,” said McCarthy. “Patients specifically seeking a flu vaccine can make an appointment with their local Allina clinic. Those appointments are being scheduled for October 5 and beyond."
Allina clinics expect to have received 65 percent of its allotted seasonal flu vaccine by October 5, 2009. The remainder should be on hand by the end of November.
"At this time, we are able to accommodate our patients with scheduled appointments,” said McCarthy. “We expect everyone who wants a seasonal flu vaccine will be able to get one this fall."
McCarthy noted that Allina clinics do not have any walk-in flu vaccine clinics scheduled.
Patients who wish to receive a flu vaccine should request it at one of their regularly scheduled clinic appointments or call to make a specific flu vaccine appointment with their local Aspen, Quello or Allina Medical Clinic location.
