Growing through loss
The North Suburban Grief Support Coalition sponsors a six-week series for adults who have experienced a variety of loss or grief; divorce, seperation, moving, job loss, etc . The series provides an opportunity for individuals to obtain information and support for a variety of loss and grief issues.
When: Series runs twice a year. Next session to begin on Monday's begining Sept. 15, 2008.

Western suburbs

Adult education and support
The West Suburban Grief Coalition sponsors education and support groups for grieving adults. The program is the combined effort of sixteen West Suburban area churches and intended to help adults suffering from the loss of a loved one.  Each week there are learning, healing and growing experiences offered through professional speakers, videos and breakout sessions.  Trained volunteers in support group facilitation are the leaders for the breakout sessions that consist of spouse, child, parent, sibling and other significant deaths.  Individuals may attend the group at any time by coming to a meeting or by contacting grief coordinators.
Where:We'll be relocating to St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN  55447 effective Thursday, March 6th and continuing through May 29th. Other churches involved include; Churches in Chanhassen, Delano, Excelsior, Long Lake, Maple Grove, Orono and Plymouth.
When:Meeting structure remains the same - 4:00 - 4:30pm social time, 4:30 - 5:00pm devotional and speaker and 5:00 - 6:00pm individual break out groups.

Coon Rapids GRACE Support Group
Missing GRACE Foundation provides support groups and resources for families who have experienced: pregnancy and infant loss, infertility and adoption along with offering education and programs to help reduce the number of infant deaths in America. Missing GRACE Foundation offers online support groups, phone support, GRACE Care Baskets, hospital and home visits and 3 MN support groups located in: Maple Grove, Coon Rapids and Longville. Missing GRACE Foundation is a non-profit based in MN and works together with local, national and international groups to provide a network of resources for grieving parents across the globe. GRACE support groups are provided for women and men who have experienced a loss due to ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and other causes.
