Western suburbs
Adult education and support
The West Suburban Grief Coalition sponsors education and support groups for grieving adults. The program is the combined effort of sixteen West Suburban area churches and intended to help adults suffering from the loss of a loved one. Each week there are learning, healing and growing experiences offered through professional speakers, videos and breakout sessions. Trained volunteers in support group facilitation are the leaders for the breakout sessions that consist of spouse, child, parent, sibling and other significant deaths. Individuals may attend the group at any time by coming to a meeting or by contacting grief coordinators.
