Graduate Nurse Residency Program: Program specifics

The program begins with an individualized clinical practice orientation. During this time the new graduate nurse works side by side with one of our preceptors to care for patients and further develop their nursing skills and independent practice.

Participating locations may include the following: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Allina Medical Clinic, Buffalo Hospital, Cambridge Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, New Ulm Medical Center, Owatonna Hospital, River Falls Area Hospital, St. Francis Regional Medical Center, United Hospital, and Unity Hospital.

RN Preceptors

Working along side a registered nurse preceptor, each graduate nurse gains the practical experience and training needed to advance his or her career.
