Surgery & Outpatient Center

Developed to care for patients comfortably, with less waiting, the Surgery & Outpatient Center provides a wide range of surgical care for both same day procedures and more extensive surgeries requiring an overnight stay at the hospital, including additonal outpatient procedures including GI endoscopy and IV therapies. Developed to streamline care within the Surgery Center, the Hernia Center provides direct access to a team of surgeons with extensive experience in hernia repair as well.

A broad array of highly skilled surgical specialists are on staff at Buffalo Hospital, most of who also operate at the major medical centers in the Twin Cities and St. Cloud. Surgical specialties range from general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and orthopedics to ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), podiatry and urology.

Anesthesiologists work with nurse anesthetists to provide all pain management and sedation services at the hospital.

The Surgical & Outpatient Center is filled with natural light and provides a single, streamlined space dedicated to surgical and outpatient care featuring:

• 17,500 square feet of spaced dedicated to surgical and procedural services
• 18 private patient rooms, with many comfort features
• 4 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms
• expanded recovery area
• a private oncology suite
• convenient separate entry and check-in with drop-off circle drive entrance and nearby parking off Catlin Street
• comfortable waiting areas for patients and families that offer smaller, more intimate spaces for loved ones, a child play area and kitchenette
• a private physician consultation room
