WomenCare provides comprehensive gynecologic services from physicians and staff who are committed to serving women’s special health care needs. Many procedures that previously required inpatient care are now delivered in an outpatient setting at Abbott Northwestern. These include microsurgery, laser surgery, laparoscopy, pelviscopy and laparoscopic-assisted hysterectomy. If you need to stay overnight, nurses with expertise in the special health needs of women will provide your care in a unit especially designed to meet your needs.
Comprehensive GYN/Oncology services are offered by WomenCare in conjunction with the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute. Integrated GYN/Oncology care is available both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Monthly treatment planning conferences and clinical research trials are components of this service.
