Piper Breast Center
The Piper Breast Center has established itself as a role model and leader in breast health care. We provide the expertise, technology, information and support women need to make informed choices about breast care in a comfortable, private and respectful setting. We pride ourselves on providing timely information and diagnosis.
Services we offer include:
Mammogram guidelines
The United States Preventive Services Task Force is one of several different groups that makes recommendations about when women should have screening mammograms. The physicians and staff of the Piper Breast Center have reviewed the recent recommendations. Other groups that we respect, including the American Cancer Society, continue to support the current recommendations which are based on a number of research studies. For that reason, the breast programs of Allina Hospitals & Clinics will not be changing our practices for screening mammograms at this time. As always, if you have any questions about the health of your breasts, please talk to your doctor. To speak with someone at the Piper Breast Center, please call 612-863-3150.
Recognized for excellent breast care services
Piper Breast Center is the first in Minnesota to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
NAPBC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving the care and objectively monitoring the outcomes of breast care programs. NAPBC-accredited programs offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with breast disease.
Piper Breast Center is designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
Piper Breast Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
To achieve this designation, breast centers must be fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
