Hospice payment & insurance information

Hospice services are provided under Medicare, Medicade and most insurance plans.

Medicare and Medicaid covers services and supplies related to the terminal illness for the hospice patient. Insurance plans or private payments made on a fee-for-service basis, pay for hospice for those patients not eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Fee for service means you or your insurance company pays only for the services provided to you.

Memorial and support contributions are gratefully accepted and are directed toward unfunded patient care and our proposed J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice House.

It is our policy to never refuse service to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Please call the Allina Care Navigation Help Desk at 651-635-9173 for more information about reimbursement options.
