PADnet
PADnet is a high-tech stethoscope with three special blood pressure cuffs. The device finds blockage and narrowing in the arteries that bring blood to the legs.
A PADnet test takes about 20 minutes and is done by one's primary care physician. It is available at one of these locations:
Leg discomfort or muscle pain or discomfort in your legs may be signs of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Early diagnosis and treatment for this serious condition can decrease the pain or discomfort and keep the disease from getting worse. PAD treatment may also decrease the risk of heart attack, stroke or death.
PAD symptoms and risks
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) narrows the arteries that supply blood to the legs, restricting blood flow to the calf and thigh muscles. These common symptoms occur with activity and are promptly relieved by rest:
