Diabetes education: Gestational Diabetes class
The Gestation Diabetes class is designed for anyone who has been diagnosed by a health care provider with gestational diabetes.
Class objectives
During the Gestational Diabetes class participants will:
Learn about the disease process and goals of treatment, risks to mother and infant, monitoring control, treatment plan including individualized meal plan and role of physical activity
Follow-up is available, as needed, with nurses and dietitian to maintain control throughout pregnancy and delivery

Gestational Diabetes classes are offered at Allina Medical Clinic Buffalo, Cambridge, Coon Rapids and Minneapolis: Isles.

Because learning to manage diabetes is important to your health, the cost of classes are usually covered by health plans.
