Diabetes education: Insulin pump orientation

If you choose to use an insulin pump to manage your diabetes, this class series will help you thoroughly understand the pump and optimize its use.

Class series topics

Each session lasts two to three hours and covers these topics:

Session 1: Carbohydrate counting and using a pump

Session 2: Pump initiation - Learn about effective pump use and leave the class wearing your insulin pump.

Session 3: Advanced uses of the insulin pump

Locations

Insulin pump classes are offered at Allina Medical Clinic's Coon Rapids and United Medical Specialties St. Paul locations.

Class prerequisite

You must complete a one-on-one session with a diabetes educator prior to attending the insulin pump class series.
