Your recovery at home: Older brothers and sisters

When you get back home

  • Spend just-you-and-me time with each child each day, even if it is only a few minutes
  • Tell older children stories about when they were babies.
  • Spend time together looking through your older child’s baby book or baby pictures.
  • Give older children extra attention, cuddles, praise and love.
  • Be patient if older children “try on” baby behavior, suck their thumbs, or wet the bed.
