Classes for you during pregnancyUnderstanding your pregnancy and knowing what to expect can help you feel more confident and relaxed as you prepare for the birth of your baby. That's why Allina Hospitals & Clinics offers a wide variety of classes at many locations.

Here is just a sampling of the classes that are offered.
- A Healthy Pregnancy provides important information about your baby's development and tips for making pregnancy easier and more comfortable.
- Childbirth and Parenting Preparation teaches about relaxation and breathing techniques, medicines and medical procedures, birth plans, and the care and feeding of your baby. Schedule the class so you finish about 1 month before your due date.
- Refresher Childbirth and Parenting Preparation addresses how this pregnancy is different from your previous one(s), changes in labor and birth procedures, relaxation, breathing, and massage techniques, Cesarean birth. Schedule this class so you finish about 1 month before your due date.
- Breastfeeding Preparation is an introduction to the basics of breastfeeding, resources for support, how to avoid problems.
- All About Babies is designed to relieve the anxiety that expectant parents, grandparents and adoptive expectant parents may feel about infant care. It is best taken during your second trimester.
- Expectant Fathers addresses the concerns of fathers-to-be beyond the role of labor companion. Learn about being a supportive partner, expectations and fears about labor and birth, balancing parenting and work.
- Expecting Multiples addresses staying healthy during pregnancy, understanding the risks and complications of a multiple pregnancy, labor and birth preparation, and managing care for more than one newborn.
