Giving birth: If your baby needs special care

You, your partner, the birth center staff, and your health care provider will do everything possible to make sure your labor and birth are positive experiences and that your baby is healthy. But sometimes a baby can face problems after birth. Although this idea can be frightening, take time to talk with your partner and your health care provider now about your fears and about how you want special situations to be handled.
