Partners may feel left out
Partners may feel left out of the planning for delivery. However, mothers and their partners need to become familiar with medical and personal issues surrounding labor and delivery.
Encourage your partner to support you in ways like these:
- Attend the birthing classes and hospital tours.
- Accompany you during labor and delivery.
- Help prepare needed items for bringing the baby home.
- Spend as much time as possible in the hospital with you and the new baby after delivery.
