Development
You may notice changes in your baby's development as soon as the first week. His or her alertness may increase gradually as he or she starts to acquire new skills.
Your baby may...
- respond to sound with blinking, startling or on occasion becoming quiet and attentive
- regard your face
- follow objects with his or her eyes
- usually keep his or her arms and legs in a flexed position
