Bedding for baby
Many think that fluffy pillows and quilts will make infants more comfortable. Unfortunately, such soft bedding materials may also increase the risk of suffocation and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Parents should provide a firm mattress for their infant and avoid pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins and porous mattresses, all of which increase the risk of SIDS.
