Special interests: "I treat my patients as if they were my own family."
Specializing in microsurgery including laser and cataract surgery, Yancey gives
each of his patients the special treatment that he would want given to his own
family. "If I feel a patient is not a good candidate for surgery," reflects
Yancey, "I tell them, and we explore non-surgical options for vision correction."
In addition to being an expert ophthalmologist and microsurgeon, Yancey is also
a Haitian medical volunteer. As a volunteer, he collects the glasses that patients
in Minnesota discard after LASIK and cataract surgery and travels to Haiti to
distribute them and donate his medical and surgical expertise.
