Sudden Cardiac Arrest: Are You or Your Family at Risk? (Albertville, Minn.)

Where will you be when your heart stops? Walking the dog? Sitting at your desk? Playing basketball?Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can happen anywhere. SCA is one of the leading causes of death, claiming more lives than stroke, breast cancer and AIDS combined.

Recently, the news has highlighted more and more young athletes experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The good news is that there is something you can do to reduce the chance of dying from sudden cardiac arrest.

Join William Katsiyiannis, MD, cardiology – electrophysiologist with the Minneapolis Heart Institute, for a free talk about sudden cardiac arrest, how it's different from a heart attack, who is most at risk, and most importantly, how to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Portable defibrillators will also be on display, and attendees will receive important tips on their use.

Refreshments will be served.
