Dimensions in Oncology (Minneapolis and Fridley, Minn.)
Allina Hospitals & Clinics is pleased to offer the well-received Dimensions in Oncology conference. Since 2001, we have refined and revised the focus of this training to provide nurses with the best foundation for their work with cancer patients.
This course includes an overview of the biology of cancer and the treatment of specific cancers. Pain management, radiation therapy and oncology emergencies are addressed.
In addition, attendees will learn about patient support through complementary therapies, as well as hospice and palliative care. A patient panel provides insight into the perspectives of care recipients.
Tuition for the two-day course -- $0 for Allina employees and affiliates, $200 for external participants -- includes conference materials, parking, breakfast, lunch and refreshments.
