When you use Allina.com's Find a Provider, take advantage of our many search options to find the
doctor who is right for you.
Location: To find a nearby doctor, specify your
location selecting your zip code or your city. The search will find doctors
with practice in that zip code or city.
Specialty: If you are searching for a doctor with a
particular specialty or expertise, such as family practice or dermatology, you
can search by specialty. Click the down arrow next to "Specialty" to display all
the specialties available. Then scroll through the list and highlight the
specialty you want.
Last name: If you're looking for a particular doctor
and know his or her last name, simply type the name into the space by "Last
name."
Gender: If you prefer a doctor of a particular gender,
simply select the circle next to Female or Male.
Language: If would like a doctor who speaks a
particular language, such as Russian or Spanish, click the down arrow next to
"Language" to display all the languages available in our directory. Then scroll
through the list and highlight the language you want.
Too many results?
The easiest way to narrow your results is by using
additional search options.
If you didn't pick any location, you may want to choose
a city where you live or work. That way, it will be easier to get to your
appointments.
If you chose a city, maybe you should try narrowing it
to just your zip code or just those doctors in a specific specialty.
No results?
If you took advantage of all of your options, you may not
get any results. If that is the case, you may want to prioritize.
Are you
willing to travel a little to find a Spanish-speaking, female, OB/GYN? Or maybe
gender isn't as important as the convenience of a nearby doctor. In any case,
try broadening your search to surrounding cities or choosing fewer options.
