Weight Loss Surgery Information- United Hospital
Weight loss surgery is for people with a body mass index (BMI) greater than 40, or a BMI of 35 to 39.9 with co-existing disease states, or who are more than 100 pounds over the ideal weight for medium-framed individuals.
Topics at the introductory meeting include the history of surgical weight loss, current surgical procedures, benefits and limitations of bariatric surgery, and patient selection. Each session includes opportunities for questions and answers.
The $20 per person fee is for materials should you decide to proceed. Payment is due at the time of class via personal check or cash.
