Toasted tortilla chips

These healthful chips are fun to make and good to munch.

Ingredients

4 six-inch flour tortillas
juice of a large fresh lime, strained
cayenne pepper, to taste

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.
  3. Pour lime juice into a clean spray bottle kept only for this use.
  4. Lightly mist each tortilla triangle with the juice.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with cayenne pepper.
  6. Place close together in a singer layer on a large baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until chips are crisp.
  8. Serve warm with Santa Fe hot bean dip.
