Cranberry salad

Apples, nuts and other crisp flavors complement cranberries in this easy-to-make combination.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped fresh cranberries
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3 celery ribs, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup light mayonnaise

 

Directions

  1. Toss the cranberries and sugar together.
  2. Sprinkle the chopped apple with the lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Mix the cranberries and apples with the remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and chill several hours before serving.
