Buffalo Hospital offers free evening dedicated to heart health, Feb. 10

BUFFALO, Minn. 01/09/2009--Join Buffalo Hospital's cardiac experts to learn about cardiovascular disease—the No. 1 killer of Americans—and what you can do avoid it, Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Buffalo Hospital's Cardiac Center.

This event is in honor of American Heart Month to raise awareness about heart disease.

"Heart disease is the most preventable cause of death," said Joe Cherian, MD, cardiologist. "While you can't change your age, race or family history, there are many things you can control such as your diet, exercise and blood pressure."

Learn about heart disease, symptoms and what steps you can take to keep your heart healthy. This free event also includes tours of Cardiac Center, blood pressure checks, heart healthy food samples, AED demonstrations and exercise tips.

Registration is preferred. Call 612-262-3333 or visit www.allina.com/classes to sign up.
